Australian Nature Guides is Carnarvon Gorge's only locally owned tour guiding company. Established in 1999, we have helped thousands of visitors to connect with nature on a different level in one of Queensland's iconic National Park. Head Guide Simon Ling brings a wealth of knowledge of the Gorge's plants, animals, landscapes and cultures to each of his tours. You can judge Simon's abilities and knowledge by the quality information on this website (as he constructed it).
Whilst running tours and selling locally made souvenirs are how Simon and Angela make their living, they willingly share their intimate knowledge of the Gorge with all who stop at their EcoStop on Bandana Airstrip, just outside the National Park. We are here because we have a passion for the place and would like to see everyone have a great stay, regardless of whether they take a guided tour with Simon, or not.

- Understand the basics of what you are looking at when walking in the Park by giving an overview of the area's natural and human history.
- Plan your stay by designing a custom itinerary taking into account your interests, walking abilities, and timeframe.
- Answer any questions you might have about what you've seen on the drive into the Gorge, and any you might have on what is in the Gorge itself.
The EcoStop is also the only place in the Gorge where you can book a tour with the areas most experienced guide, so pop in and say g'day on the way in. You won't regret it, and we'll provide all this information via a friendly chat over a hot cuppa.
